Is strange.
So many people still seems to expect perfectly black and white. That's just not how the world works most of the time, and not how human beings behave.
It's not that "the allegations weren't valid". It's that they didn't rise to the level of firing EE. That's it. It's not any more complicated than that. EE has already said he has issues to work on with the way he interacts with the players. The excessive profanity and more. He has actually been evolving as a coach for several years now in how he deals with the players. And is now clearly committed to continuing to evolve. While maintaining his core beliefs about how to build an excellent program, that teaches the girls the value of hard work and professionalism and does not demean them and let them act like clowns in the dugout. Just look at how players like Sami Fagan, Emily Crane, and others have talked about him and how he has changed in the 3-4 years they were here.
Hard to believe someone in Walljaspers position can be so unintelligent about this. Mizzou is harmed because EE is not allowed to defend himself against "invalid allegations"? Jeez. Give me a break. EE is probably the most open book out there in terms of college softball coaches. It's not a choice between totally valid allegations and totally invalid allegations. It's not black and white, right and wrong. It's not a court of law. It's overlapping shades of grey.
Mizzou softball is in great shape moving forward, considering the alternative. Firing EE would have devastated the program, broken it. It would have taken years to recover. Yeah the pitching situation is precarious and relies on an unproven freshmen to be the ace. Lots of pressure on Parker Conrad. But many great high school pitchers come right in and excel in college, we need to hope she is one of them.
This is a great day for Mizzou softball. Because the alternative was just awful.
