As SuperTone said, maybe he hit a wall and lost his legs a bit, that happens to young players not used to the rigors of a long season, so certainly a possibility.
Another possibility is that he was having issues getting shots off quickly enough and developed some bad habits in rushing to get his shot off and that carried over, even to those times when he was wide open.
Either way, I think the kid can shoot a bit and it's just a matter of developing some consistency and becoming a reliable option. If he can do that, it will help us open up the floor and force other teams to play D.
