lead an NFL team to the Super Bowl?

And, Lovie had a dozen years as a college assistant before going to the NFL. Weis didn't.

For all this talk about "credentials," even excluding his NFL coaching experience, Lovie Smith had 2x as many years as a college assistant as BO prior to becoming a college head coach.

If you're going to try to find the reasons why Lovie Smith could struggle at Illinois years from now, Charlie Weis isn't helping your cause.
