I especially prefer it after the return flight to using one of the cabs driven by Somalis who suddenly don't know how to run an AMEX card through their credit card reader. As soon as they try that gambit in order to get cash instead, I immediately call their office and the driver asks who I'm calling. Suddenly, the reader works.

When I lived in DC, I didn't need a car because of their metro. Trouble now is that so much deferred maintenance is necessary, that they're closing down entire lines to perform the maintenance. It has been loved to death.
The more metrolink expands, the more ridership will represent all population segments and become more like DC's. The announcement of a new line in DC and the locations of the stations was always delayed to the last possible moment because the real estate around a station would triple in value overnight.
That would be a nice thing to happen in STL.
