It's year three. He has all of his own players. He does not get a do-over for two of the worst basketball seasons in Tiger history. Mike Anderson inherited a twelve win team on probation and went to the elite eight his third year. Am I expecting an elite eight from KA? Of course not. However, expecting a 500 season or even a winning season from Kim Anderson in year three is not being unreasonable.

Stop pandering to him. Stop making excuses for him. Stop treating him with kid gloves. He is getting paid extremely well. Roster construction is his responsibility. A lifelong competitor and strong character guy like Kim Anderson probably doesn't want the do-overs and pity you offer anyway. I doubt a proud Mizzou alum and former player would want the special treatment you gush all over him for winning nineteen games in two years just because he played here and not say Iowa State or Minnesota, etc.

I promised myself I would be more positive this season and I am. I have no doubt that Kim Anderson will deliver a team full of heart and energy and hustle. I can't wait until November. I can't wait to see the team breakthrough this season. I can't wait to see how the young core develops.

But...I'm also not some secret handshake KA fanboy dip****.

If everything falls apart again and we win 10 games, he's gone.
