I'll be positive...
I think we now have a solid foundation from which to build. TP was our leader last year and I expect big things from him.
To take a leap forward we need one of these FR / Sophs to develop into a star asap (Walton?). Or, we need to get lucky and find a diamond in the rough in 2017 because high level 4 and 5 stars aren't coming to rescue us anytime soon.
Last year at this time no one really expected much from Puryear. And, he was solid considering he was a Freshman. Given the expected FR to Soph improvement of TP, KP, and KJ. If one of the new guys can do something similar to year one KP (Mitchell Smith?, Willie Jackson? Jordan Barnett?) we might have something.
I fully expect this team to be 100% bought in on the defensive end. I'll really be disappointed with lackluster effort like we witnessed last year. Being "small," or "young," are not excuses I'm interested in hearing. If they aren't bought in, and we don't have any success then KA won't be around to try and finish this turnaround.
I hope he makes it because that will mean we are building back to something that is at least entertaining to watch.
