Didn't your parents teach you anything? Missing a turn when you're driving, that is a mistake. Adding numbers wrong, that also is a mistake. Trivializing moral wrongs and crimes by calling them mere mistakes undermines the effort to hold people accountable for their willful decisions to do wrong.

One of the biggest reasons our jails and prisons are full is because people won't accept that their criminal conduct is worse than a mere mistake, and they want to play the victim. Life's tough, take responsibility for your bad deeds, and grow up.

Real Mizzou fans know that the Derrick Washingtons, the Michael Dixons, and the DGBs of the world aren't worth the price to be paid in bad publicity, or the harm done to the cohesiveness of the teams.
