Well for one, you fail to understand a lot of players can be important for a team just by the presence in the dugout, etc. Don't be so quick to assume that just because they didn't play a lot or contribute on the field that they weren't bringing something to the team.
Secondly, I disagree about Tori. She had a rough year but I think there is a decent chance she looks good again next year. Parker Conrad could come in and anchor the staff (hopefully!), but that is a wildcard with her being a freshman it is hard to rely on.
A veteran on the staff would have been good even if they didn't provide a lot of innings, just from a leadership stand point. A transfer could help the situation of course. Depth is key now without a clear ace.
I also think Chase Nelson is also a top caliber player (was heavily recruited by several sec schools) and was a loss for the program. I would be shocked if she didn't have a huge rest of her career.
