Stoops has expressed disinterest in competing week in, week out in the SEC for a very good reason. He knows that OU would be exposed as being nothing special. He has the luxury of competing in a watered down Big XII, and rely on isolated games against the SEC for bragging rights. Heck, his team almost lost to UT except for coaching blunders by the Vols knot head coach. He just may be forced by Boren's out of control ego to be put into a situation of competing against multiple equal as well as superior programs. I think it would be fun to see them get their comeuppance like Nebraska did in the B1G.
I also think that you and I are basically on the same wavelength, and I welcome the measured discourse.
