On February 25, 2016, CNN reported that the Trump presidential campaign hired Sarah Huckabee Sanders as a senior advisor. Sanders is the former campaign manager and daughter of former failed presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
After having been fired in February 2014 and then rehired two months later, Trump advisor Sam Nunberg was fired from the campaign in August 2015.
August 2015 Roger Stone left Trump's campaign during the first week of August 2015. Trump said the he fired Stone, while Stone told the press that he resigned.[
On March 28, 2016, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump's two highest ranking aides in Iowa—State Director Chuck Laudner and Deputy State Director Ryan Keller—were no longer employed by the Trump campaign. Both aides said their contracts and expired, and Keller indicated that "he hadn’t 'put that much thought' into whether he would rejoin for the general election.
On April 13, 2016 Rick Wiley—former campaign manager for Scott Walker—joined the presidential campaign of Donald Trump as the national political director. On May 25, 2016, Wiley and the Trump campaign parted ways.
