Question about Roku versus Smart TV...

So we have a big ass Samsung Smart TV in our bedroom and an LG with Roku in the living room. We cut the cord a couple of months ago and that has been fine, but we wanted Showtime, so I ordered it via Amazon on the Samsung TV.
Now, we also have Amazon on the Roku, but when I try to watch Showtime on Amazon via Roku in the living room (again, I ordered Showtime on Amazon through the Smart TV), it does not show up as being purchased and it sends me to a free trial.
Any thoughts on resolving this? Anyone else had this problem?
Minor point while we're on the subject: I think the time is right for cable to start dying, there is a lot of content available, much of which is superior to cable TV...BUT...it does seem right now the HARDWARE side is too interested in gaining market share and not making their hardware user friendly. Case in point...my Roku vs. Samsung Smart TV issue.
