Sounds like Evansville will be the opener on Friday, Nov. 11, but it's still not on the schedule. However, Alabama A&M (11-18 out of the SWAC last year) has been slotted for the second game of the year on Sunday, Nov. 13.

I think we have a decent non-conference schedule, even though nobody seems to agree with me. Xavier and Arizona are both likely pre-season Top 15 teams. Outside of Xavier, every team other than Tulane in Puerto Rico could potentially wind up in the NCAA Tournament down the road. Hopefully, Illinois is better this year. And Evansville, Western Kentucky and Miami (OH) are programs out of solid conferences.
I'd like to see another challenging road game on the schedule or another marquee home game against a regional rival (since ku still won't play us, why don't we play Iowa or Indiana like we used to under Quin)?
But we could potentially play 3-4 NCAA Tournament teams. That's not awful.
