My apologies. Enrollment isn't down 50%, that was an exaggeration (much like every post of Fiji's).
But there are some pretty significant numbers effecting MU and your enrollment. And this years down number will have a cause/effect over the next 4 years.

As for the rest of your statements:
1) I was unaware that KU made an outward overture to join the Big 10. We all know that MU did and was used to get Nebraska...but I don't remember reading a thing that KU was spurned specifically.
In regards to basketball being irrelevant, you might as well shut down this portion of the site then. Or your team all together. MU is easily among the worst teams of all the Power 5 conferences and schools.
2) Your bad year in football is just the beginning. Enjoy your 2 SEC East Championships. Those are now far far behind you. But who knows, maybe your new AD will make a new home run hire when he brings in his own guy. Because unless you already have a guy in place (i.e. Self at KU; Pinkle before he left MU), all new ADs want to prove themselves by hiring coaches.
3) Perhaps Mack Rhodes left just because of the raise. Most think he left for job security. MU was an embarrassment this last year, letting the students/players force out the President/Admins. Besides, fixing Baylor's image seems much less daunting than MU's. Especially since MU ALSO has that stigma of being a school that turns a blind eye to sexual assault.
