To Alabama. They claim 6 titles, one in 1967. The 1967 "title" year saw the Vols finish 9-2 with a loss to OU in a bowl. I mean, that is the exact same as our 1969 year.

The Vols are proud of their conferences titles won throughout the years and rightly so. However winning the SEC jn the 80s required a team to have the best record of a 6 game conference schedule. There was no SECCG. It was a different era. Atleast in the Big 8 you played everybody

Vols have a solid history, no question. But many of them think of Florida as a "newcomer." UF didn't dominate until the 90s, true, but to say they are not a blue blood because they were not dominate during WW2 is preposterous. I don't think you will find many kids who think of Tennessee as being superior to Florida when it comes to football...

I'll stop now, but the Vols are an interesting subject. I'm really happy to play those orangeclad fools every year
