Nobody has the heart to ask for it in a serious manner, and they mostly just avert their eyes in such an opportunity like one would when confronted with a disfigurement or deformity.

Kim is a good dude, its not really pleasant to acknowledge the degree he is failing or ask why he isn't getting optimal results.
