for their wedding next year. Research, phone calls, etc. Should be a great event.
This spring I dug beds around my neighbor's entire house, removing grass and then helped him to distribute 4 yards of mulch and to plant dozens of plants.
Few weeks ago spent 4 hours moving and reorganizing a buddy's entire garage.
Took care of my parents and their estate for my older brothers and spent 4 years seeing to my mother's alzheimer's care. Sacrificed tens of thousands of dollars to ensure my oldest brother could stay in my parents' house and would have security and comfort the rest of his life.
Yesterday I paid for a buddy from out of town to golf with me at my club.
dog sitting for my neighbor for a week so they don't have to kennel him or pay for boarding.
Cat sitting for a couple down the street.
Spent many hours helping a neighbor with his bike maintenance then assisted him in selecting and purchasing a new bike.
these are "top of mind" recent things, but I don't think there's a day that goes by that I don't do something for someone in some small way.
It's a joy to have friends.
