body does not solve the underlying mental health issues. When you are standing at the urinal holding your junk while thinking you are a woman there is a serious disconnect from reality. The compassionate thing to do is find out what is causing that disconnect and try to correct it so you can live a normal life.

It is especially evil when done to hormonally confused teenagers. I have seen students in my school go from male, to female to non binary multiple times in a school year only to have them finally revert to their actual gender and live perfectly normal lives. Way too many young transitioners regret the change years later.
