be if there had been no African slave trade? What would have happened to the hundreds of thousands of victims of the Ashanti Empire, the Dahomey Kingdom, the Yoruba and other dominant African tribes had there been no coastal markets to monetize their conquests of lesser tribes? How few of America's population of AAs have ever been born? Maybe we're missing the big picture. Slavery was very bad for those who suffered it, but a blessing to their descendants.
