I wanted to give an update on this. This is Brendon (author of Respectable Roughnecks---available on Amazon [wink, wink]).
MU Athletics and I have been in touch over the last few weeks and I know that Don Wainwright, Jerry Wallach, Kim Lavender, and even Johnny Roland who wasn't on the 1960 team but was on the 1964 team and has his number retired and on the wall of Faurot are coming to the game. I have gotten in touch with Ed Mehrer in Kansas City and he would like to attend as well.
I will try to check with Paul Henley. I know that Fred Brossart who was a genius surgeon in Texas passed away just weeks ago.
They will be honoring the team during the game, giving them two tickets, a parking pass, and invites to their VIP tailgate. They have also generously granted me tickets to join them in thanks for assembling the guys and promoting the team. If anyone else has info on any players, I'll get in touch with them.
....and YES, JFK was at that game. I recommend you give the book a read if you haven't already. It's an amazing team and a window into Mizzou Football's history!
