I hear you about possible future needs, but as I recall they made the conscious and public decision to go smaller due to changing dynamics in watching/attending college sports (football, specifically). So it's not that they messed up...it's that they chose to go in a different direction for very specific reasons, no matter what the future may bring. You don't like their choice, but it made sense to those who write the checks.
