We didn't even have tickets at the time, had to buy them from a scalper before the game for almost twice face value. But prior to that game, it was just assumed Mizzou was gonna suck, so I kinda get it. The funny thing is something kinda similar happened in 1999 after going to two bowl games in a row.

Those of us that were following closely felt differently, but the public perception took awhile to change.
