all the time because they pay Corning to use special formulas for the ceramic that is unique to Apple.

It’s why Apple is not involved in the Corning EU Antitrust issue going on. When Apple makes engineering specification changes to the ceramic they “invest” in the production of it.

You will hear Apple announcing some new better ceramic for the iPhone 27 or iPhone 28 next year or the following year.
