be given out would go an extremely long way in satisfying the vast majority of people.
Unfortunately, I don't think that will happen.
As has been said, this was an unforced error by the Trump administration. Ramping up expectations throughout the campaign, appointing people that the conservatives trusted into positions where they could carry out their promises of transparency, calling in conservative influencers in the social media sphere to allegedly give them a 1st glance at important, previously hidden Epstein files and then giving them binders with essentially nothing in them, but having photo ops with them at the White House waving them with promises of far more in the near future... the evidence was already on Biondi's desk... was a bad look. When they abruptly about faced and said, there's nothing to see here, move along it was catastrophic. The stupidity of it all was compounded when Trump threw half of his supporters under the bus, saying they weren't true supporters, and then rhetorically asked, in response to a reporter's question about the files, whether anyone even cared about the Epstein files anymore. That was absurd and made everything much worse.
It was an insult to the intelligence of the public at large and of his supporters in particular.
Transparency now, however, would go a long way to repair the damage. Carrying on in the manner they have recently done would add more fuel to the fire, and bring on continuing comparisons to Baghdad Bob.
