by investigators, including documentary evidence, lab reports, statements of witnesses, correspondence from interested, but uninvolved third parties, investigator notes, directives from supervisors, news clippings and a whole lot of false leads/dead ends. As a general rule, anything that wasn't presented in open court is unfit for release to the public.
