In 2019, Epstein was arrested again, this time on federal charges of sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He pleaded not guilty to these charges. However, he died by suicide in his jail cell while awaiting trial in August 2019. All charges were dismissed after his death.
It is important to note that the scope of Epstein's alleged crimes was extensive, involving numerous underage girls and a network of associates. His 2008 plea deal and subsequent death in jail have been the subject of considerable scrutiny and controversy.
