in fact saved me from running off the peak. I think I was 8 years old, and we drive up there. It is about to storm big time...you could see it coming in. My Mom tells my Dad...don't go up there.
You get to a point where you can't drive anymore, and you have to walk up. So we continue on. Some experienced looking hikers are coming down saying don't go up there it's not safe.
My Dad is like F-that (Griswold style), and says let's go. We get up to the top and I start running around, but it is foggy and I was about to plummet to my death before my older brother caught me. Then out of nowhere the stom is upon us and I look over at my borther and his hair is standing straight up. Then a giant blue light and a huge BOOM!!!
Basically we got hit by lightning - or very close. That was some Final Destination sh*t for me that day. It is a very cool view though.
