They do the special golf events during their offseason.

You do not think people would watch that.

ESPN used to run the old HR Derby re-runs. Not sure exactly when they ran those.

They don't want to hit during the season for good reason.

Do it in the near post season. They are still in reasonable baseball shape, but won't end up spent after, which is why the don't do the HR derby in the All Star game
