Ignoring/dismissing family and friends for bigotry, sexuality, their view on endangered species, might be a good new topic.

This is you again trying to equate two disparate things that aren't equal.

I knew a guy who wrote off his family b/c they were drug addicts. That also has nothing to do with this topic.
