Interesting matchup from a statistical standpoint, the teams are basically mirror images of each other.
Last and 2nd to last in runs per game and HR. Both have solid team ERA (KC 4th in MLB at 3.48 and Pittsburgh 7th at 3.61).
Royals are better in 1 and 2 run games, which represents a lot of the difference in record.
Royals will avoid Skenes, who has given up 12 runs in his last 12 starts, 0-1 runs in 9 of them, and won 1 of the games. Jacob DeGrom thinks that's bad run support.
