What people call common sense are subjectively held beliefs within a particular culture or time not universal truths. What is claimed to be common sense is in reality just common beliefs that change as culture changes.
Often those who toss out the phrase “common sense” do so, not because what they are claiming is some self evident truth, but as an attack on any difference in thought being unusual, as you tried to do.
