It even brings up that 10 gang members had just been arrested.

It was a response to Trump propaganda claims. Trump portrayed the entire city as being under occupation of gangs, not bad areas.

The second article is a response to Democrat who downplayed the issue Aurora faces.

What bias I see is you not being able to clearly read the articles and understand the content. You are choosing to create a false narrative about the nature of both articles to attack the NYT.

You ignore Trump propaganda.
