The point is they played crap out of conference schedules so when they get up against an “out of conference team“ in the NCAA tournament, they can’t handle it. They have been embarrassed, now, two out of three years, discounting a disastrous year sandwiched in between. It’s funny how the teams with the great out of conference schedules like Alabama and Florida and Auburn have gone all the way to the final four the last several seasons. Darn it there may be just something to playing a decent out of conference schedule and not depending on everybody else in your conference to make your conference the top conference
