I think Israel was probably not very happy with Trump being chummy with his Middle East trip for sure.

Israel for sure does not want Iran to have nukes and will do what they can to stop it, and there is no question the USA directly and indirectly fully supports Israel over anyone else in the region. So yes, Israel dragged Trump into it a bit, but not really a trap.

Trump cannot help himself either. He claims he wants no war, but does a lot of warring.
