Yeah, if air strikes alone quickly take down Iran, or they have a revolution overthrowing the current regime he might look like a hero, but the odds of that seem pretty slim to me.

It is probably much more likely that complications arise and things get messy. Those complications could be anything from relatively mild to catastrophic.
