Here is the history if your interested. An agreement between Iran and several countries was in place when Obama was President. Trump pulled out of in his first term. Limits in that agreement to nuclear weapon development by Iran were lifted as a result and the inspections called for in the agreement no longer were available. Trump said he would negotiate a "tougher" agreement but never did so. Within last couple months Trump's National intelligence director Gabbard testified to Congress there was no evidence Iran was anywhere close to developing a nuclear weapon-- or for that matter was actively pursuing one. Trump says Israel disagrees with that assesment.
