is $1.1 billion. The parade was essentially one big multiple hours long marketing commercial for them and for recruitment. They had some pretty good footage and video packages they played during it highlighting individual soldiers.
$45m really ain't that much in terms of what they got out of it and considering what their marketing budget is.
Considering what a 30 second Super Bowl commercial costs, this was a bargain for the coverage and impressions.
