Now it means Protestants who focus on Biblical inerrancy and literal readings as opposed to historical-critical readings. Evangelicals heavily bend towards salvation by faith alone while ignoring that good works are an outgrowth of salvation. Evangelicals bend towards the view God is wrathful and needed a blood sacrifice in Jesus to atone for sins, a penal substitution model.
