The deployment of the 82nd is dumb. Suggesting they would airdrop in is beyond ignorant when there are a dozen airfields for them to land on.
Because ther are a dozen airfields to use, there are units much closer that could deploy and be on the ground in 4 hours from orders to move. (Think Washington state based 7th Inf Division that has a Ready Brigade with a 3 hour 'wheels up" from -McChord AFB mission standard.)
