I fondly recall episodes of sneaking booze into games...

including two six-packs of 7-ounce Coors packed in ice inside a vinyl Pendleton stadium blanket case (with a towel blocking the clear front panel) when we played Alabama at home in September of 1978. How the gatekeepers never noticed the melting ice dripping from the case is beyond me. Those beers were gone in no time, thanks in part to the 90+ degree heat.
But my crowning achievement was walking into Sun Devil Stadium for the '72 Fiesta Bowl with a 6-pack of Heineken in plain sight. Nobody stopped me and I proceeded to drink all six during the game, even though I was getting dirty looks from all the ASU fans. It was also my 21st birthday, which was no big deal, since Arizona was a 19 drinking state at the time.
Ahhh, the good old days.
