Was to be a defensive specialist who couldn’t shoot, but then he ended up being our best scorer of all time. Expectations before they actually arrive and play aren’t very informed, and certainly not as useful as expectations based on them being on the team and seeing what they can contribute.
Warrick could obviously meaningfully contribute at this level, and would have done so at virtually any stop he chose to use his last year of eligibility at. But he didn’t at MU and was pretty considerably underutilized. Not nefariously or as a personal slight to him, but certainly factually.
