based on conference performance would sort it out.

giving a handful of mid-major teams a charity playoff bid is silly and unnecessary. if they want charity let them play the SEC/B1G teams that didn't make the playoffs in exhibition games. they can even give the games cute names and have parades and sell t-shirts.
