a man could have multiple marriages biblically. Multiple relationships between him and a woman.

The Bible was written during a time when marriages between same sex didn’t exist. Reproduction was the primary driver of society because of the importance of inheritance rights.

So you are forcing on the text scenarios that didn’t exist and the authors would not have known about.
