activity is increasing and Pacific hurricane activity is decreasing because of global climate change.
Indian Ocean warming is stalling the Madden Julian Oscillation depressing the number of hurricanes in the Pacific.
There are other circulations being altered by climate change that affect the Pacific Ocean as well.
