I would say it is a reflection on how good players in the portal look at the program right now. Not a lot of interest in playing here. Why would there really be much interest, after all, we finished 15th in the SEC, we were the only team in SEC not to make the tournament, and we finished 14th or 15th in every critical statistical category. Maybe CLA can sway them with the favorite line of “we were just one hit away from making the CWS in 2024”.
As for the less than intelligent statistical comment, you also forgot the 3 transfers that TN has brought in. So it is actually .7333333 per school.
