Like I said above something I learned from my military buddies is that POG "person other than grunts" are usually worthless self aggrandizing types who push papers etc. but act like they dodged bullets all day long and love to pose as warriors to the naive public.
I saw this in action several times. My best Friend for all my life was first a Marine and then after 9/11 dropped out of college and went to the Army to fast track to the battle field. He was Infantry and served in Iraq two tours. He never talks about his service except drunk, doesn't display his medals or drive around with a purple heart license plate he says that's for those who probably never saw combat and got a scratch or sand in their eyes driving their porta potty to some place.
He was always disgusted on these POG types using their service to get Free Drinks and Special Perks at places when they never saw a second of combat and where safe and sound way behind the lines.
I recall a couple of times in the mid-00's being at bars and seeing service guys getting free drinks. MY buddy never would do that or even mention his service to trade off his duty he thought it was disgusting. But one time another buddy of mine was with us and he saw it and spewed out hey this guy is Military as well he should get free drinks. The other two military guys then inquired about his MOS etc. and they then told the bar tender his bill was on them and then they got real quite for the most part.
I suspect tigerclaw was in the administration aspect of the Military ... as opposed to being a real warrior.
Let's just say POGs are not respected by the warrior class and they shouldn't be they are more akin to the bus boy than a actual chef. Needed but not special or brave.
