That has been proven over and over here and empirically. I mean Trump himself has said he loves the "uneducated". Throughout history con men and dictatorial types have swindled the less mentally swift and lifted their hands to use them to punch themselves while telling them it was someone else doing it do them. I'm amazed in the Information Age it still works, yet, surprisingly, it works even better now.
The latest self slap is the lie that tax cuts for wealthy people and spending cuts for programs that largely assist the poorest people in the country is a good thing. You just can't make this stuff up. People complaining about the cost of eggs agreeing to this, including many posters here. Clearly affected by the economy but still cheering Wall Street billionaires getting some tax relief. Wow.
