Scubapath — I heard your reasoning is spot on. One year left and wants a chance to go to the CWS. As teams look to have deeper pitching staffs and play more MLB type strategies of matchups — it makes sense why she could be in demand. Lefty, killer changup, experienced and apparently comfortable in late game situations, some experience as a starter.
As far as a previous post about having to sit a year, I am not the expert but don’t think she has to. Ole Miss lost one of their best players (Jaila Lassister sp?) to the portal last year and she played for LSU this year.
As far as Walker and her reasons, my source didn’t know. Just that she was planning on leaving.
