someone else's pitch/ball mark you're not entitled to relief? To me it shouldn't matter, if it's embedded it's embedded.
I feel like the pro's get away with a lot in taking advantage of the rules but that was a pretty bad break for him. Typically they get relief for about anything anymore, more so in the rough than anything. Some guy yesterday got to pick up his ball in the rough because he thought it was maybe embedded, of course it wasn't so who knows when he put it back how much he improved his lie.
