Just look at the top dog, the CIC. He’s a moron.

But studies have shown that that most successful people in leadership roles tend to have an IQ between 115-120. The higher the IQ, the more a person is self aware of their limits, even if those limits are far beyond what the 115-120 IQ leader has. This creates two problems. One is the high IQ person is less sure of himself, which hampers leadership and two, is often less effective of a communicator because of the higher intellect, making it harder for less intelligent subordinates to understand.

So when it comes to leadership in government, military and business, they aren’t often that smart of people. This can be offset to some degree. A highly intelligent person can identify those who can fill his weaknesses. A less intelligent leader can likewise defer to highly intelligent specialists.

But in this case, it’s not being driven by the military, but it’s moronic civilian leaders like Trump and Hegseth, who are surrounded by idiots because Trump wants sychopants, not experts who will challenge him.
