"taking off the stupid". Yes the whole thing is stupid. Although Trump is superior in stupidity because unlike Xi, he thought the American economy was ready to be without cheap Chinese goods. Xi obviously knew the reverse wasn't true but played the tariff game because, well, he didn't really have much choice.

You can't even make up how dumb it is to put tariffs on steel and aluminum which prevents the development of the factories and plants that would actually power this MADE IN AMERICA pledge.

But hey it's been great to show the world we're no longer the stable and reliable economic power we used to be. That image is in tatters, but I guess so what. We showed 'em.
